Authorising the Xero Connection with DSD Assist
DSD Assist needs to be authorised to access your Xero account.
Below is the process you will need to run through in order to setup and provide these details to DSD Assist
- Go to https://developer.xero.com/myapps
- Select OAuth 2.0 if required
- Complete the App name, Company or Application URL and Redirect URL, replace dxa in the example below with the value provided to you by our support team. You can copy and paste the values you need from those below (replacing XXX with the value you have been provided)

- Copy and save the Client ID and the Client secret as you will need them in the DSD Portal
Establishing the connection in the DSD Portal
- In the DSD Connect Portal select Administration / Integration
- Select the Xero icon
- Scroll down to the list of values. Beside Client ID select the Edit icon

- Enter the Client ID you generated previously
- Repeat for the Client Secret
- Select the Connect to Xero button under the Xero icon
- You will then be asked to select the Xero company you wish to connect to and the connection will be established
- Once the connection is established the button under the Xero icon will turn green
Configuring the Xero connection for DSD Assist
The connection can be configured in DSD Assist to behave a little differently depending on your business process. This should be done in conjunction with the DSD Assist Support team
