Mailchimp Integration



DSD Assist can be connected to Mailchimp using our standard connector.  DSD Connect Customer and Contact data is sent to Mailchimp once each day so that you can create and send emails to your customers.

We load the Mailchimp Audience with the following fields

    1. Contact Name
    2. Contact email address
    3. Last Order Date
    4. Company Name
    5. User Role
    6. Customer Type
    7. Payment Terms
    8. Sales Representative
    9. Sales District
    10. Location
    11. Default Route
    12. State
    This allows you to create segments in Mailchimp for your email marketing


Configuring the Integration

Within our Integrations menu option the Mailchimp integration needs to be configured for your business.  Once you have created a Mailchimp account the integration variables can be configured.


API Key

Within Mailchimp select your settings at the bottom of the menu on the left of the screen and then Extras.  Your API key will be displayed

Audience ID

Create an Audience in Mailchimp.  Then select the Audience, Manage Audience and then Settings.  Select Audience Name and Defaults.  The Audience ID will be displayed on the screen for you

Data Centre

Mailchimp host their systems on various data centres.  To find the data centre check the URL of Mailchimp while accessing your Mailchimp account.  The data centre is shown here


IntegrationTime

This is the time each day we will send the DSD Connect data to Mailchimp

Username

This is the username you use to access your Mailchimp account
