Importing Standing Orders into DSD Assist
Standing Orders are used in the Bakery and Dairy industries in particular. A Standing Order is a recurring order and in the Bakery and Dairy industries these typically occur every day or two.
Few ERP or Accounting systems are able to maintain Standing Orders very well. In DSD Assist we allow you to maintain the Standing Orders in a Spreadsheet and email them to our server.
The Standing Orders have a date range so that you can adjust them for non-delivery periods like Easter, Christmas and School Holidays
The Standing Orders are held in DSD Assist as a Template and converted into regular orders each night. When you look at the Order Management function each morning all the Standing Orders for the day will have been converted into regular orders for the day.
If the customer wishes to change their Standing Order, edit your spreadsheet and email it again to the server.
If the customer wishes to change their order for today then edit the order in the Order Management module
An example template for the standing order spreadsheet can be loaded from this article
The email needs to have the title SAP_XXX:StandingOrder where XXX is your company code
